Frequently Asked Questions

  • I do not work with insurance companies, but this doesn’t mean your health insurance will not cover part of the cost of my services.

I also can provide superbills that you may use to get reimbursed using your out of network benefits. You will need to check your out-of-network coverage with your insurance

  • If relying on insurance has served you well in the past, you probably wouldn’t be exploring this option! If you’re content with 10-15 minute medication management appointments every few months, then an in-network provider might be the right choice for you. However, if you’re seeking:

    - A provider who can dedicate more time to you during appointments and between visits to focus on your individual goals

    - A multidisciplinary approach that values your insights and choices

    - Evidence-based, integrative psychiatry that is often hard to find in community health organizations

    - Simple, hassle-free scheduling and communication with your provider

    - An investment in your health and overall well-being

Then an out-of-network provider like me could be the perfect match for you.

As an integrative provider, I provide a holistic approach to care that merges traditional psychiatric methods with complementary therapies. By opting not to take insurance, I can deliver a more thorough and personalized experience, free from the constraints of time limits or insurance guidelines.

  • I see patients ages 18-55.

  • All appointments must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to do so will result in the responsibility of the full appointment fee.

  • Intake appointments are ideally conducted in-person in my office; however, virtual appointments are available if distance prevents an in-office visit. Follow-up appointments can be scheduled as either in-person or virtual. Patients must reside in Connecticut.
